Stars and Boulevards

I hate this part. I really do. Holidays creeping closer to the end, impending return to Melbourne. You're head's neither here or there. Just want to get it over with, you what I mean.

Nevertheless, the facts are, I'll be back in Melbourne by Thursday, new term starts Monday. It's always difficult letting go some of the things we've gotten all so used to, but it's great to experience something different. Learn to adapt to unfamiliar environments. I've been in Melbourne for two years now, minus holidays, and everytime I go back, I've learnt heaps.

It should be a good year, bar any major upsets. Inevtiably, there will be peaks and troughs, but what's life without any challenges thrown in your face, eh?

So cheers guys, here a drink to welcome the new term, fantastic experiences and a brilliant future.

You Found Me

United are on a roll. With this kind of form, it's quite possible the 'second' string could steamroll anyone in its path. Tevez and Welbeck at the front, Nani and Park on the wings, while Flecther and Anderson marshall the midfield. At the rear, you could have the da Silva twins as fullbacks plus Johny Evans and O'Shea as centerbacks. Foster between the sticks. Tell me that team can't beat Fulham or Newcastle and I'll show you a Fall Out Boy song which makes sense. Blackburn should start praying.

I Won't Hesitate No More

Four months without blogging. That's four long month's worth of thoughts and emotions pent up without an outlet. Ok. There were other outlets but none of them ever puts my personal opinion across. No matter if anybody is reading it or not.

As the curtain falls on Summer 08/09, the prospects of the next step, the subsequent chapter seems reasonably bright. Eager to get back to learning, studying and striving for better acomplishments. I admit I have been resting on my laurels these few months but that's normal for someone who's just had his longest break from studying in his life.

Nevertheless, despite the lack of progress in the acedemic side of life, I feel that these past months have great for me in terms of forging and maintaining friendships and doing my bit to bring friends closer together.

It seriously has been a great holiday. Visited quite some places, particularly around Malaysia. Went down to the capital a couple of times, always something new to see everytime I'm in KL. Also had a trip to Cameron Highlands. Remarkably, it was my first time there, however, it being a long weekend when I was there, there were more people on the mountain than in Penang. That's what it felt like anyway. Fantastic views and sights, and the new Simpang Pulai - CH route is a brilliant piece of tarmac. Will definitely be back again, preferably which a performance car. I'm thinking BMW 335i. (do let me dream)

Turkey was great, Istanbul and the beautiful Bosphoros has it's own special charm to it. The people were nice, friendly and more than welcoming to visitors and tourists. Closer to home, I particularly enjoyed our 'Incredible Ipoh Trip'. Momo has details on his blog, but personally, I loved every minute of the trip. Even the horrible bed. The company was sporting, accomodating and  I'll remember all the quirky details and funny events that happened. I'm sure the others loved it too.

On to football shall we? Van Der Sar hasn't conceded a goal in the Premier League since that Nasri goal against Arsenal. Do you want to know when we played Arsenal? The day I landed from Melbourne. THAT's how long Edwin hasn't had to pick up the ball from his own net in the league. Bloody hell. I think he deserves a pay rise. Or instant recognition into United's hall of fame.

More soon.

Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe

Here's a car from the Geneva Motor Show. The brand new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe. I really have to admit, I'm already a fan.

Brilliant lines all round, and that front-end is just touching the right amount of aggresiveness and elegance. A genuine coupe from Stuttgart then. The new rear end looks much more comfortable on the coupe than in the sedan, lending it the look of a wider stance. It's another great looking car from Merc after the new C-Class which I like a lot. Hope Mercedes will take this to the Melbourne Motor Show later this year, can't wait to see what it looks like in the metal.

Looks fantastic in white though isn't it? Seems White is the new Black.
